Ingredients
- 8 tbsp butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Chocolate chips
Directions
- Beat butter with the sugars until creamy and light in color.
- Add vanilla and eggs, beat until just incorporated.
- Whisk flour, baking soda and salt together in a separate bowl.
- Add the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients.
- Mix in desired amount of chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough into balls of uniform size (I use a small cookie scoop for this).
- Bake at 350°F for 9-11 minutes, or until just barely golden brown. Let cookies cool on the hot baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
