Ingredients
- Tilapia
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper (desired amount)
- Sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 onion (diced)
- Garlic (3-4 cloves, minced)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper (desired amount)
Directions
- Heat oil in pan over medium heat. Meanwhile, combined spices and use to season the tilapia fillets.
- Add seasoned tilapia to the hot pan and cook for about 3 minutes on each side, or until it cooked through. Remove tilapia from the pan and set aside.
- Add the butter and onion to the same pan and cook until softened. Add in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Whisk in the heavy cream, broth, and tomato sauce. Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a slow boil and simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
- Return the tilapia to the pan and cook for an additional couple of minutes, or until everything is heated through.
