Ingredients

  • 1lb ground meat
  • 1 bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • Garlic (minced, desired amount)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • Sauce mix
    • 1/3 cup beef broth
    • 2/3 cup ketchup
    • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
    • 1/2 tsp Worchestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
    • 3/4 tsp chili powder
    • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
    • 1/2 tsp parsley
    • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
    • Hot sauce (desired amount)
    • Salt and pepper (desired amount)

Directions

  1. Whisk all ingredients for the sauce mix together, set aside.
  2. Brown the meat with the prepared onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
  3. Add the tomato paste and cook for for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the sauce mix and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until it reaches the desired thickness.

Notes:

Use whatever meat you desire. Recipe works well with ground beef and ground turkey.
