Ingredients
- Sirloin tip steaks (1 package, or approximately 1.5lbs)
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 onion (sliced in half, skins and root removed)
- Garlic (crushed- use desired amount- I usually use a whole head of garlic)
- 2-3 bay leaves
- Red pepper flakes (desire amount)
- Salt and pepper (desired amount)
- Crusty bread/rolls for serving (toasted)
- Sliced onions and peppers for serving (caramelize them!)
Directions
- Combine beef broth, Worcestershire, and soy sauce, add to the slow cooker.
- Add the seasonings, garlic, onion, and steak.
- Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
- To serve: take out the onion, garlic, and bay leaves- discard them. Slice the meat and return it to the slow cooker. Strain some of the liquid from the slow cooker into a bowl (this is your au jus for dipping).
Notes
Very good when served with caramelized onions and peppers on top!
Can add cheese of choice and melt in the oven for a few minutes, if desired.
