Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Beat butter with the sugars until creamy and light in color.
  2. Add vanilla and eggs, beat until just incorporated.
  3. Whisk flour, baking soda and salt together in a separate bowl.
  4. Add the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients.
  5. Mix in desired amount of chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop the dough into balls of uniform size (I use a small cookie scoop for this).
  7. Bake at 350°F for 9-11 minutes, or until just barely golden brown. Let cookies cool on the hot baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
